Daklis in Currimao by Ed Antonio

This documentary video on daklis or fishing took place in Currimao, Ilocos Norte Philippines infront of the Sitio Remedios Resort owned by Dr. Cuanang. National Artist BenCab also witnessed this daklis when he visited Ilocos.The video shows the fun that people had while doing the daklis or pulling the fish net for more than two hours under the scorching heat of the sun. They became happier when they had a big catch of the local fish called 'monamon.'

a "time capsule" material. we also do this in sanchez mira (cagayan) when i was a kid. now it's all motorized bancas. i'd luv to see daklis again in our place. it brings people in the community closer. good job ed!
