@Morepullups These guys run equipment and tactics that are based on what works 90% of the time for all dynamic gunfights. ACOG's won't always work on the battlefield because the magnification will slow down ur target acquisition speeds, which is why they don't run them. These guys go really in depth into how to hold the a rifle with the most amount of control to mitigate recoil which is something a lot of Armed Forces lack. They've already started training some Marines in Pendleton. YouTube it.
