I just watched the commericial....and then I thought...I bet someone is online saying that commerical was racist....then viola!!...I guess you could say they have an argument if they wanted to use what is already a racist stereotype to say that the imagery of whites only getting their hair done by whites and them going to school with predominately white communities....which is true in some parts of the south, Atlanta is a somewhat segregated city.....they would have been better to avoid monkeys

@endwelfare Because I know how many of the people in the south think. I know plenty of people who honestly think that they're not racist, but they are. It's a mindset and a subtle use of imagery and certain words. The people who made this commercial obviously used that to send a message without directly saying it out loud. If someone complains, they can just say that they were making a play on the term monkey wrench, even though that makes no sense in the context of this commercial.

@endwelfare I'm not the one comparing black people with monkeys. I live in the south, and if you do live in the south, you know that racist people make that comparison all the time. I don't want to argue with you about this. As I originally said, I had to keep asking myself if it was just me, or was this commercial actually racist. I have since spoken to some people who know the people in this company and THEY said they thought it was racially motivated, because they knew those people.
