1A Auto shows you how to repair, install, fix, change or replace a broken, damaged, faded, worn or faulty turn signal stalk, high beam and wiper switch. You will need a steering wheel puller, but after that it is pretty basic and straightforward. This video is applicable to 3rd all Chevy and GMC pickup trucks from 1995-98 plus carry-over models for 1999 and 2000 plus all Tahoe Yukon Suburban for 1995-99 plus Tahoe Z71 and Yukon Denali for 2000.

  • My 1999 blazer has no brakes lights, but flashers & turn signals work fine & so does my hi & lo beams as well as my cruse control./ my mechanic replace the brake switch & still no brake lights.? so he said to get a new Multi function switch & he will replace that because it is connected to the brake switch etc & this should fix the no brake lights problem.? what do you think is he correct.?

  • @COYOTE165A On some vehicles they do run through this switch. It might fix the issue for you.

  • I have a 1995 chevy truck 2wd extended cab and the shifting lever will not shift. So I have to turn the kea to where the dash lights glow and then shift it in to netural, start it and then put it in to drive. But if you put it in to park you have to turn it off and start the process all over again.

i allready replaced the neutral safty swich. what should i do?

  • @SpeedyChevy72 You may want to take a look at the shift lever, and also the ignition switch to see if it's hanging up the lever (if the shifter is on the column).

  • Mike HELP I changed the turn signal switch it did not work. I replaced the old switch and now I have a clicking sound and The headlights won't work also the cruse will not work the original reason I was changing the switch. Any help would be GREATLEY Appreciated.

  • @Link1961 HI, you may want to double check your connections. I'm not sure if you are getting an air bag light on on the dash, if you are and the cruise has stopped working, many times a bad clock spring will trigger that. I would also check all of the fuses to make sure that they all fine and none of them are blown. Hope this helps.

  • does anyone know if the signal switch has anything whatsoever to do with spark to the coil.plugs dist etc.??

  • oh i miss my suburban, but i don't miss the 14 mpg

  • You guys Rock! The part came in3 days. And it took me about an hour to replace it. Thanks so much! You just saved me over $300.

One hint I would give to others. The airbag doesn't just pry off. Stick the flat blade screwdriver in the slot and twist. This moves a spring and releases it.

  • THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH FOR THESE VIDEOS! YOU JUST SAVED ME AN ASS LOAD OF MONEY! NEXT TIME I NEED A PART YOU GUYS WILL BE BOUGHT FROM. THAT'S THE LEAST I COULD DO! THANKS AGAIN!
