all that is missing are the little crackles of an old 78rpm.

Kate Bush sings this surprisingly well and Larry Adler is far less demented than usual. Very nice.

My hero, Larry Adler, the greatest harmonica player the world has ever known. I saw him live twice in Sydney towards the end of his amazing life. And Kate is the perfect partner for this beautifully produced presentation of the Gershwin classic. And the the band's contribution 'S Wonderful.

I must admit Larry Adler sure is a great harmonica player, and as you say ''the greatest'' perhaps? but as a Dylan fan ( don't laugh ) I love the rawness of his playing, and the older i get the more I appreciate the American style of his playing!

Bob is a genius, and possibly the single most important artist of the past century, but he doesn't rank as a harmonica player. Larry, as a technician, had no equal, although Robert Bonfiglio is astounding. Toots Theilmanns has been, for half a centyury, the greatest improvisor. Charlie McCoy the best country player, with Norton Buffalo not far behind. Blues? Take your pick: Little Walter, Sonny Boy I or II, Junuior Wells, Paul Butterfield - all great. Granted, it's only one man's opinion.
