Fantastic movie. Saw it at the theater, then bought the DVD and watched it again. Disney did a great job with the storyline, except they completely disregarded the fact that it was Riva Ridge that basically saved Meadow Farm, and Lauren and Turcotte came on board prior to Riva Ridge making his run at the Triple Crown in 1972, the year before Secretariat did. Diane Lane is fantastic as Penny Tweedy/Chenery, and John Malkovich is sort of an odd choice as Lucien Lauren, but he pulled it off.
