Oh you mean catch the bird at normal dates? It doesn't really matter to me though. The only reason I didn't change the date was because Zapdos was my first RNG abused Pokemon.

Yes, so you just switch back the date before you go out and catch them (after talking to Oak). I have RNG abused for the legendary birds myself and they have all normal dates even thought I had to set my date to 2075 to hit the right seed for two of them.. so it does work.
