My wife and I have a 17 pound black and white cat named Cowboy. He is like a real Cowboy, big , rough and wild at heart. We need to find him a good home. We are planning a family and know he needs to find a good home before my wife is pregnant and before she conceives. Cowboy is a bit wild and crazy and occasionally draws blood for the kitty Gods. On the other hand, when he is not driving us up a wall, he is the most loving and affectionate cat you've ever seen. When my wife got him from the pound 5 years ago, he was sick and just laid there in his cage. She paid his fees, got him home, his medicine wore off and she found out quickly he is an outdoor/indoor cat, not just an indoor cat. We are not in the position to let him in and out every 5 minutes as he demands. If he had opposable thumbs, he would rule the world. We are tired of looking at damaged furniture from his claws. We will not buy new furnature until he has a new home away from our investments. We also have a 15 year old cat and a 5 year old terrier. Cowboy scares them at times, but backs off in time of conflict. He has been a staple in our family and my wife does not want to let him go, but the stress level in not conducive to a calm, relaxing environment. My wife and I are trying to conceive and start our family. Cowboy needs to find a good home now. We are in a one bedroom guest house and there is not enough room for three animals
You must understand special needs cats as he is a handful. He has a belly of long, luxurious, soft, black and white fur, do not be fooled when he rolls over and flashes his belly. He will draw blood. Do not be fooled when you scratch his head and he starts to smile, he will give a love bite that may draw blood. If you do not have kids and love special need kitties, please contact us and let us know. we want him to have a good home, where he can rule the outdoors like the feral kat he truly is, and curl up in bed with a new mom or dad at night, just to wake you up at three am insisting you let him out to go on his neighborhood watch.
Yes, Cowboy has found a home with a rescue service and cat hotel. They told us he would probably be placed in a home in Canada. We miss him, well my wife misses him, but we know it was for the best when we let him go. We gave a donation to the rescue service/cat hotel to thank them for their help. My wife and I now have a one year old son and moved to Glendale. We still have our dog and 15 year old Siamese cat........she was around a long time before I was. So she still has priority. Thanks!
