It would be great if the guy let the notes ring for awhile so we can hear how long the notes sustain. @ 5:27 the guy says "very democratic answer!" Do you mean "diplomatic?" Hilarious!

I've come to the conclusion that it's impossible to accurately evaluate compression pedals on Youtube. Chorus, flange and delay videos can be good - but compression is too subtle an effect. You have to "be there."

Signa sounds great once he rolls the tone knob down... roll that knob down and increase the level and I'm sure it could as fat as the Tone Press. It does have a nicer character in my opinion as noted below.

U2 !

I suppose, if given a firm choice between the two, I'd DEFINATELY prefer the Signa over the Tone Press. The Signa seems to have a lot more brightness and bite to it, and, on those merits alone, could also come in handy as a treble boost. The Tone Press, on the other hand, seems to exhibit absolutely NO tonal color whatsoever; Flat, muddy, honk-y and just plain BORING are among the adjectives that could describe the 'Press, IMHO.

"...for compressing" , cracks me out!!! lol.

I haven't played a Signa Comp, but I have tried a Tonepress quite a few times and I can truthfully say that it is noisy and an all together boring pedal.

i like the sound of the tonepress better. nice chicken pickin too! thanks for the great demo.
