Tourist, families and responsible people have a right to a public place where there are no disturbances caused by a few ACTING high or intoxicated. (watch how the bloke in the fawn trousers taunts the Police) The Police acted as per the law, and what about the cameras continuing to roll after being told to stop recording? Like they didn't hear? Let the Police do their job, imagine a World WITHOUT them.

Now c'mon people, get real. Why tease the Police? They are there to protect the innocent like you and me. To me, those involved deserved to be arrested for being a nuisance. It's simple really; behave in a public place and there is no problem at all. Dance? ok, cause a nuisance? no! Do as you are told, or didn't your parents teach you anything? Grow up kids.

Boy if there were no cameras there some of those folks woulda' had broken bones i bet ;p

@OhWellFuckYou Watch "Dancing Jefferson Memorial, Take 2" and you will see the conclusion of this conflict at the Jefferson Memorial. Hint...you can now dance there w/o cops arresting you. Your arm-chair legal advice was proven to be false by the DC police dept surrendering on this issue. The dancers won in the end. You were wrong. They were right. The end...

Sorry, but "flashmobbing" is a form of demonstration in a public place.. Without the proper permits, you are subject to arrest. Civil disobedience with restrictions, sure, but we have the right to civil disobedience without being lined up and shot.. I'll take it.
