It took at least 5 hours and there were a million little parts! About a month after we put it together, my son stepped on one of the open ove doors and the wooden dowels started to crack through the thin wooden shelves. I was not pleased with this design flaw, but my husband would NOT return it because it took so much time to put together! It hasn't been a big issue, though. My son plays with this everyday. We make sure he and his little friends don't step on the open oven doors.
