The camera records in H264 format using XDCAM EX Codec. The .MP4 format will work fine with Sony Vegas

The other day i recorded a video using the button lolux/3 so that the image looks better. I did it because when it the screen looked sandy or it looked like it had dots all over to be more specific. at the end my recording came out really dark. How can make these dots disappear and have a clear image without using lolux??

What flavor of mp4 video does the HM100U produce? Is it mp4/h.264 or something else? I edit with Sony Vegas Pro 9 and need to know the potential work flow before deciding on the HM100U.

Fantastic - the salesman sold me a jvc gy100 but the official instruction manual was extremely poor. Just found this chaps video series on you tube. Jvc you should give this guy a job he has just stopped a refund and helped you sell our company several more. Thanks again - ps do you do a course on final cut pro - your style of teaching works!!!
