@JovanMoonshine black and tan is a reference to the colour of the uniform worn by the Royal Irish Constabulary (RIC), which bore a close resemblance to the coat of the Kerry Beagle. The RIC was tasked with keeping the Irish from launching another rebellion against British rule in Ireland but committed numerous atrocities during their stay in Ireland. This spurred the Irish to rebel against the British forces, ultimately securing a free Irish state in 1922.
