The equipment you choose to wear is completely up to your own preference.
If you cannot use piety, use Chivalry or Super human Strength.
Blue charms are frequently dropped, a long with a variety of noted planks.
Using clay armor from the Stealing Creations minigame is a great way to maximize your experience per hour.
If you cannot use a bunyip, then bring about 20 monkfish/sharks, w.e you wanna use.
Using Mele or Ranging protection prayers works, but it isn't really needed since they won't hit often with piety, and it drains your prayer rapidly if you do.

do you need to restore all of your summoning points in order for the bunyip to last the whole time, or only 6 points?

@LeftB3hind If the bunyip only costs 6 points to summon, then you can summon it with at least 6+ points. It will still stay summoned for the 40 minutes or so. Regardless of how many points you had when summoning it.
