i have a question about texturing an object that has a normal map. let's say i have already made a model and put the texture on it, now i want to do a normal map. for example, a stone floor. i already have all the cracks and detail painted in the texture, so how do i sculpt so it matches up with the preexisting texture? do people usually make normal maps before they have textured the model?

this doesnt make sence, why dont export the low res mesh from zbrush to maya and throw the map on?

So I should model first the character on Zbrush, transfer as an .obj to Maya and then do the normal map? Also how do I paint this? Does the UV map transfer those details so I can paint them on photoshop or do I have to use Mudbox or Zbrush polypaint? Thanks man Awesome tutorial. Subscribed and favorited

hahaha, thank you all for the feed back. this was my first tutorial i made lol. I like to keep it fun and interesting. I watched most tutorials that people made and some of them i almost fall a sleep. This tutorial is very old i will make some more tutorials on game developmental and so on... it will come soon
