I did this one pretty quickly, but it turned out better than I expected, and John Frobisher is such a brilliant character, played by the even more brilliant actor Peter Capaldi, so I figured I wanted to make a small tribute for him. As with my previous video, this contains SPOILERS too. So if you haven't watched COE, and are planning to do so, you shouldn't watch this.

As usual, all the clips belong to the BBC.
The music is Last Train by Travis from their 2001 album The Invisible Band.

  • This is the first series/movie where i've seen Capaldi (well, I found out that he was in DL which I had seen as well, but I didn't recognize him) and loved him!

Is it just me (being a non-native), or Peter sounds quite English in COE? (considering he speaks his Scottish accent in every other role).

Great video, btw. Music fits perfectly ;)

  • @pushigamala

    Thanks!

Being Norwegian, I'm not much of an expert myself, but I'm pretty sure he put on an English accent for this one, though you can hear a few rolling r's inbetween.

  • Frobisher had one of the best character developments, and you just believe the character, when he's told hid daughters are going to be given to the 456 you really feel what he does. One of Peter Capaldi's best roles

  • PC was easily the best thing about Torchwood: CoE, his performance was brilliant, right up until his character's heart-stopping conclusion. He's such a brilliant actor and has only gotten better as the years pass. Excited to see what the future holds for Peter :)

  • Such a tragic character... so sad "he kept working" until his own demise, and his family's. I wish he didn't die so he could have gone on in the series, which I believe will continue. Great job!

  • Two words;

    Malcolm Tucker.

  • @Bferner True, but not uncommon in English, the thrilled r I mean. Jeremy Brett uses it in Holmes occasionally (spoken by an English language graduate from Serbia, if that counts :))

I'd totally fall for his accent and say he's English if I hadn't found out :D

Again, good job on the video :)

  • Yay I loved his character Peter Capaldi is so brilliant at what he does.

    Awesome tribute. :) xx

  • thanks for doing a frobisher tribute!

    xx
