Notice slim's lyrics about a car not being able to get you into this country... but today, with better roads and 4wd's it's easily done. I kinda wish it was still hard to get to, isolated.

When you get to Billiluna at the top end of the CSR try checking out Balgo to Kiwirrkura track or even the Balgo to Mintirr rock hole track. A ten km trip takes over 3 hours but the country is awesome. Be sure to pull into Balgo and say where you are going. You will see coun try no other tourists see. You will actually even see animals who haven't seen a car before. I urge you check it out before its too late.

Also people remember this. There are many cut line. These are lines cut by graders for seismic surveys. They can appear to be the road at times. Be very careful and always stay with your vehicle. I dont care how desperate you are if you leave the vehicle you will be impossible to spot and then how desperate will you be without water or a position to locate you from.
