Springfield Armory XD40 & XD45 Tactical Review

Review of the XD Tactical model, there are several other models with different barrel lengths, this one is 5 inches. I mention the "compact" model, what I am referring to is the "service" model which has a 4 inch barrel. I contacted Springfield Armory and it is undetermined when and if a subcompact version of the .45 will be manufactured.

I was thinking about picking up a Glock 30 as my first sidearm. Nope. I'm going with the XD45. A beautiful gun. Shit, I'm gonna be spending more on my side arm than my rifle, but fuck it. I got a question though, are those safety mechanisms reliable? As in do they sometime hesitate when your trying to fire it?

@fishingforbasses I agree with aaron0313 in that I have had no problems with my XD45 at all as it pertains to the safety mechanisms. I assume you are referring to the grip and trigger safeties?
