Rep. Forbes offers a Motion To Instruct Conferees to remove controversial hate crimes legislation from the annual defense policy bill (H.R. 2647, Fiscal Year 2010 National Defense Authorization Act). House Democrats have prepared to bring a bill for a final vote that ties a completely unrelated and unconstitutional Hate Crimes bill to the annual defense authorization package. This military bill is traditionally free from political manipulation and typically passes in bipartisan fashion.
