  • This is an "Air Start" Engine. Compressed Air (250psi) was used on the Enterprise engines (Electrical Power Plant) I used to operate in Madrid, Spain 1978-80. There is a separate "Engine Start" valve on each of the cylinder heads, cam operated, that when operated, would allow compressed air to enter-pushing the cylinder down on the intake stroke, causing the engine to rotate.

  • It seems to me a bit "dry" can someone give me a hint what exactly is doing that kind of noise? I must confess that th biggest engine I had seen from inside and rebuilt myself was my 1.3 liter skoda :and "slightly" bigger Zetor 25 & 50 ) so please dont punish me for not knowing. I like to listen to big engines and they sound a little bit different.

  • sounds amazing!

  • Nice work!
