  • Love this - just beautiful...........

  • Did Sir Davies know that this piece starts with an ostinato based on the football song "Go Big Red".

  • Sublime! I'm in paradise already!

  • Its a wonderful ensemble piece these guys are wonderful, Playing on your own is fine. But playing with other is so much better. It brings you on so much better. Thanx lads great job. CGSNI.

  • this piece is extraordinary

  • absolutely beautiful

  • great quartet,amazing music

  • @chrismca Yes- my piano teacher called it 'question and answer' - same thing! Words without words.

  • Lovely piece of music- one of my favourites. It forms part of the 'Yellow Cake Revue' written in 1980 by Peter Maxwell Davies in reaction to a government report into the efficacy of mining uranium from a site near Stromness on Orkney (yellowcake being the semi-concentrated form of uranium oxide refined from the naturally occurring uranium ore- typically 80% uranium oxide content). This is a great version- the LAGQ are a top talent and their performances are never less than sublime.
