This is a very rare 1979 performance of the incredibly talented Stacy Lattisaw doing her thang and singing her song "Jump To The Beat"!

  • Little girl big voice!

  • This is one of the best singles of the disco age. She has an incredible voice, they don't make 'em like this anymore. The disco kid.

  • @custardaghost I believe you on that. The record industry has a long history of doing this. There are some Caucasion looking biracial actors, athletes and so on, out there now and what the media does is only show the white parent, thus giving the perception or illusion that these people are white. They did this with Mariah Carey too. It's a damn shame that this is still going on to this day!

  • @outofthisworldgurl

Stacy and family maybe not - but she was marketed by the record company as white. This song was sold to the white radio stations on that belief.

No-one is blaming her. Shame on the American radio media who had to make the differentiation.

  • @Mryoungchew Stacy Lattisaw is just about as mixed as any other African American in this country but the difference is that she shows her mixture to a larger extent than most blacks in this country. Both of her parents are fair complexioned African Americans and her grandparents. My mom knew them and she never tried to act white or even look white to be accepted. Quite honestly, it was more of the opposite.

  • She looks a lot like Paris Jackson, MJ's daughter in this video.

  • This song was released in 1980. Can the person who posted this video give more information on what show this video was recorded from?

  • como me gustaba ese tema , y hoy tambien me sigue gustando que musica que se balilaba en los 80 lo mejor de todos los tiempos !!!
