A Christmas treat for you all! "Fairytale Of New York" by The Pogues, recorded in my living room. For this cover, I decided to take more of a production stance, so I drafted in a few musicians to help out with the tracking. A MASSIVE thanks to Martin Johnston, Oliver Prinn, Chris Miller, Russell Ferguson, Siobhan O'Brien and Kathryn Mooney for doing such a wonderful job in such short notice. They play drums, bass, guitars, male lead vocals, female lead vocals and female harmony vocals respectively. All other sounds such as the harp, strings, flute etc are software instruments which were played live by me on a MIDI-enabled digital piano. Production, mixing and mastering was done by me. Everything was recorded and edited in Logic Pro. Sorry about not having a proper video of the instruments being played, this was recorded in a studio-like fashion so there were multiple takes all thrown together and it wasn't quite suited to video recording. I hope a nice picture of New York in winter will do! Enjoy!
