Sad to see all the dead trees around Clingman's Dome

Smoky mountains are my favorite place...It is just sad to see the devastation the caterpillers have done to the Clingman's Dome area....
If you're a big hiker try the trail that connects with Appl. Trail at Clingmans Dome and then ends in Treamont Campground. Apx. 15 miles long but worth every min.
