Another video in my YouTube, MySpace ( http://www.myspace.com/trumangreene ) campaign to get the word out about online tax filing. This video is about the importance of having audit protection. Tax audits are like colonoscopies — always unpleasant! Lately I've been seeing tax programs that show you a little "tax audit meter" to tell you if you have a good chance of getting audited. I'm gonna be honest, I don't get it. What good is having a warning that you may, or may not get audited? That's like telling me a monsoon is coming, but not giving me an umbrella! I don't need a warning of impending doom, I need help when the doom arrives! If the IRS comes calling, I need somebody to answer the door. Know what I mean? I don't need a warning flag! I need people to represent me! And that's another reason why I file online with the Block. Because the Block Represents!
