In fact the stooges that were brothers were also lebanese jewish decent their real name was horowitz sp? but americanized it to howard, moes real name was Moses, and Curly's real name by birth was Jerome, and I would not mind having a dancer for an assistant either.

So many great puns in this one...
At 2:19, Curly says 'C'mon, Toots, we'll shoot the works.' My dad told me that in the 40's, 'shoot the works' was slang for shooting/mainlining drugs. Was it common knowledge when this was made that Field Marshall Hermann Goering (who Curly is playing) was a morphine addict?
If not, pretty ironic, and just one more reason that this piece should get all the credit it deserves.

@JAISE1994 You are right, curly shot himself by accident as a child in the foot. He was so scared of surgery her never got it fixed, but he exaggerated the limp to add to his comedic act.
