The commenter who said that these are "not accidents" but "deliberate acts of stupidity" was right on. Train collisions are among my favorite darwin awards. Nothing short of jumping from height without a parachute or walking around with a metal pole in a thunderstorm is as sure to get you eliminated from the gene pool.
The first segment in particular-- stuck on the tracks? Most cars are not difficult to push when in neutral, even when shut off. This is the result of stupidity and panic.
