Thanks! You were helpful and fun to listen to.

I liked this video. I just got a body bugg as a gift and I'm trying to decide if I want to try using it. I like the way you told your opinion.

I just got the bugg and for me the most fascinating part is watching the calorie burn. During exercise it's 80% consistent with my HR monitor-I have a crappy one but it is tailored to my weight, gender, height etc-it just does wacky stuff like not measure burn if the HR exceeds 165 etc. the bugg undercounts cals for activities where one is not moving the arms much. other than that, I am seeing that I am burning more than I originally expected during the day.
-
lol that is crazy

The accuracy also comes from your measurement updates, which allows the device to calibrate what it thinks you did with what you actually lost/gained.

I love my BodyBugg. I have an above average understanding of calorie content because of my work background so logging calories isn't super important for me. The missing info was my burn, I had overestimated with the 10x weight formula for judging your basal rate. For me logging calories isn't as important as keeping active, BodyBugg inspires me as I go through my day to keep active. Monitoring those calories burned has given me a new freedom to enjoy the foods I eat knowing I'm still on target.

Yeah, serving sizes at restaurants are rediculous. You're right about people not having realistic concepts about calorie burn...
You are not a fatass! Doesn't look like you even need a bodybugg to me, but good luck on your goals!

Some pretty good info on the nutrition part about calorie defecit, etc. One can learn this on their own though. A coupld of good books out there and try bodybuilding cot c om

I agree... I mean truthfully most people know that u have to have a deficit in order to lose but they are a little shaky about realistic calorie burn and realistic intake. People sit down to a spaghetti dinner at Olive garden and think that its one serving of spaghetti..I dont know I am a wealth of knowledge but still a fatass
