Hey fellow texan, I was born in Pharr was raised in Alamo and San Juan and now i live in Merced Ca. I love the pit design. Me and my dad have been wanting to build a a pit / smoker like this.We kind of like REAL south Tx. BBQ.Grate video. What part of Ca. are you in?

That thing is massive! Very nice!
Reminds me of one I saw in my area; built on a trailer and shaped like a giant 6-shot revolver... it really looks like a giant gun. I'll take a pic and show you if I remember :)

sweet damper idea!! i want to see some food from one of your smokers,i wish id had you around when i built my smoker because i was using a borrowed shop and had to rush my project i made it in like a month working one night a week for two hours a night in the dark most of the time lol ,it was a nightmare and made for a sloppy build ,p.s. i would like to see the smoker in action
