Catherine and Beth compete for Jimmy's extra ticket to a Knicks game. Meanwhile, James Caan comes to study Bill for a movie role, but soon becomes fascinated with Matthew. Dave tries to buy Lisa a television for her apartment.

Dave's affection for the TV show Green Acres surfaces for the first time in this episode. The show will be mentioned many more times through the series and we will see Dave watching the show many times, especially in the episode Space. Lisa will derivisely refer to it as "that pig show."

Before they got James Caan, a few other veteran actors were approached for this episode, including Charlton Heston, but none of them were interested because they never heard of the show. James Cann, who has been acting since the late 50s, is best known for his role as Santino 'Sonny' Corleone in the Godfather movie series.

Dave: At least I wasn't a social outcast in Junior High because I didn't know the difference between Pinky Tuscadero and Leather Tuscadero.
Dave is talking about two characters from Happy Days. Both were tough talking motorcycle riding bad girls introduced as love interests for Fonzie. Stunt rider Pinky appeared in the 1976 season and was played by Roz Kelly. Pinky's younger sister Leather showed up in 1977 and was played by rock singer Suzy Quatro.

  • James Caan- I remember him from Eraser and Misery.

  • I wonder how many times that window got replaced filming this show

  • I always thought it was wierd how only those 7 people attend the staff meetings at the table - with all those employees in the background. Further, Joe, an electrician at radio business meetings?...huh? LOL :)

  • Yeah when i think of James Caan i always think of Eraser that was the first movie i saw him in.

  • Not to be pedantic, but you spelled "derisively" wrong in the "more info" thing, Apoc.

  • I always loved this show. Jimmy James and (Spaz) I even named my 2 fish after them. Oh, how they use to swim around thier bowl like crazy. Good Times Good Times to quote Bill

  • I didn't see the Godfather trilogy until this year. But I have seen James Caan before. The first movie that comes to mind is Eraser with my state's governor lol.

  • great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
