Fantastic movie, gorgeous score.

This is what my band is playing for homecoming
-
really nice love it

What I love is the part where it continually goes from a minor chord (7) to a major 7 chord (ie F#m7 to Gmaj7) on so it's the laughter we will remember, whenever...

Thank goodness Barbra came around eventually and learned to embrace the tune... the melody is very simple, but sometimes less is more! The chord progression alone lends itself to so many beautiful harmonic changes, it's breathtakingly beautiful with a languishing quality. Must've been quite a thrill to play on the demo! What instrument do you play?

I was fortunate to play on the original demo. The song gave me chill-bumps withing the first 5 notes. It is timeless and beautiful.

nostalgic tidbit: i used to listen to this when i lived in my grandpops basement. he had the single on vinyl and i'd sleep with the record player on the floor near my head so i could keep setting it up until i was tired enough to fall asleep. my sheets were on the floor right next to the fireplace, and there was a window right near the ceiling so i could see the stars. i would cocoon myself in my comforter and it was the warmest safest coziest place to be.
