Turns out Joanna wasn't the ONLY Annie cruely treated by a theater producer. Meet Claudia. Forced into prostitution without proper shaving tools, Annie/Claudia stops by Gripe to get her job back.

I remember when all of this happened. From the auditions to the firing. I still think that Joanna Pacitti was the better Annie when it came to her particular voice. Brittny Kissinger was a sweet young talented singer when she played the part, but I felt it didn't work. This is just my opinion of course. I hope both of those girls are doing well with their careers today. :)

She was picked via a contest run by Macy's. I feel bad that she got replaced, but if you listen to her sing on some of the out of towns, her voice did get rough towards the end. At the time, she might not have been ready to sustain that many performances.

she was fired while recovering at home or something similar. what i've seen back then on tv was that they took Britny Kissinger to replace her and they liked her better than Joana and fired Joana. so the ting with the bronchitis is that if she hasn't been ill, Britny wouldn't have replaced her and so she wouldn't have been fired. that's what i understood back then but i was very little and could be wrong.
