  • Man, Tommy's feet look HUGE! Like clown feet. (I've never noticed that before.)

  • @T74G - Yeah, most people felt that Hearns won the rematch. For a long time, Leonard had a hard time admitting that. However, I heard that years later, Leonard admitted that he really had lost the rematch.

  • great era for boxing- true warriors- the arena was electric- now its all trasferred over to the ufc. after manny paquiao retires its all over for boxing, he's boxings only real draw left.

  • Bruce a great fighter and this was great for Tommy....Congratulations Tommy Hearns

  • @joeygonzo:

He attempted to shoot him. He shot into the gym, I believe.

  • @pnutbutrncrackers You know what they say, big feet means big punches. Or something to that effect

  • damn those combinations at the end were wicked.

  • @comedicstuff

he certainly was not and he put Sugar on the canvas several times in the rematch, which was won by Hearns in my opinion......

  • @T74G - True. And Leonard only gave Hearns a rematch because Hearns had been KO'd by Iran Barkley and badly hurt against James "The Heat" Kinchen in his 2 fights prior to the Leonard rematch. During the prefight hype, Leonard kept saying that Hearns was "shot." Leonard tried to fight guys at the right time (like his fight against Hagler), but was wrong in his estimation that Hearns was washed up.

  • curry was a very good fighter, even knocking Benitez down three times when they first fight. for Tommy to blast through him like that showed that he was something special

  • I think Hearns lost to Leonard because he didn't blitz him like he did everybody else at the time and that gave Leonard time to think which was never good to do..He tore right through Duran who is just as good of an inside boxer as Leonard
