It's a roadway/street/highway ,not a library. You complainers(typical Americans usually) would still be complaining if they pulled out of the bay on to the road, with no siren and had a near mis.If you live across the street from a fire station and it's annoying, then move! 5 to 10 seconds of sirens and or horn per response is no comparison to roadway and pedestrian traffic all day and night

@eveningniteshade they have to use sirens

Moin, ausrücken in knapp über einer Minute: Ist doch völlig in Ordnung!
Das schaffen viele deutsche Berufsfeuerwehren auch nicht besser!
-
@eveningniteshade You probably don't know this because I assume you aren't in emergency services but for insurance/legal reasons in most areas you have to have the siren on if the lights are. Plus that siren may save a firefighter's life.

@mlps93 Hate to disappoint you bro, but this is neither Great Britain, Japan, nor China. We here in the US, especially in Maryland have standards. Bottom line is that if your warning lights are on, then your siren has to be on as well to be recognized as an emergency vehicle responding to a fire/medical emergency. We don't do one without the other over here, and like one other viewer said earlier, if you get into a crash and kill somebody, then that's you ass!! Plain and simple!

Its law in some areas. And I highly doubt those people were there before the firehouse...thats where they choose to live.

That scroller board with the run details is awesome. Never seen that before.
-
@eveningniteshade seriously bro? lol leave the firefighting to the professionals and don't bitch cause of the sirens.
-
@mlps In the State of Maryland, driving emergency means using WARNING LIGHTS AND SOUNDS, and there are no expections. YOu are to keep both warning systems online all the time.

@bike089 Aber auch 10 sekunden können endcheidend sein.
schön...nur ist eilig auch was anderes....in aller gemütlichkeit zum FZ etc pp ist wohl nix mit deutschen Ausrückzeiten.....

How rude. put the sirens on in the middle of the night with no traffic with people living in houses right next to station
I've got a fire station around the corner. They will never use sirens when there's no need to late at night.
