you know I do not get why they call it spring forward fall back because Daylight Saving time begins in winter and it ends toward winter

@Carter106able You're half right but was not the case 4 years ago. This year Daylight Saving (DST) ends on Nov 7 (in the Fall). Winter starts on Dec 21.

While Daylight Saving starts up again on March 11 2011, Spring begins on March 20 2011. So in that case, yes technically you're correct.

The reason why the "Spring Forward" doesn't work anymore is because of the law that President Bush signed in 2005 which made DST start three weeks earlier and end one week later.

@onepov well, you were partially wrong too. in 2011, daylight saving time begins on march 13 not march 11. in 2011, daylight saving time ends on november 6.

@Carter106able Ooops. You're right it starts on March 13 next year. Sorry I accidentally looked at 2012 instead of 2011, thanks for catching that. And yes, in 2011 it ends on Nov 6, but I was talking about this year ending on Nov 7.

Thanks for calling it DAYLIGHT SAVING and not DAYLIGHT SAVINGS. Most people get it wrong. Nice report. I don't agree with the concept behind the report, but it was well done. Dennis

lets just keep our clocks on daylight saving time all year. standard time SUCKS. like now it gets light out at 7 am and gets dark out at 4:30 PM it sucks. in the summer on June 21, it says Sunrise: 5:44 AM Sunset: 8:19PM. so, KEEP THE CLOCKS ON DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME ALL YEAR LONG!
