  • Might I suggest draping a garment of clothing (tee-shirt, vest, knickers etc.) over your mic when you're recording? just to stop those booming air blasts hitting the mic!

  • @toppledgod You may indeed - I need one of those pop screen thingamajigs.

  • fuck em all

If they think i'm going out, line up and bother to tick to put one parasite after another in #10 at the expense of my tax money not to mention bomb the 3rd world for the corporation (oil and natural resource) then they have another thing coming.

  • @theracemixer Then run yourself.

  • Trivial matter: You're beard looks amazing in that light.

On the issue at hand: I agree.

I still think it's odd to think about voting on voting systems.

  • @Gettinghitonattheban Facial hair is never a trivial matter! :)

  • @RealReferendumNow Very interesting; thankyou for that. I may well do something on the need for further reform.

  • sorry, only just saw your reply to my comment, yes I agree that democracy is the better of the political systems, maybe my cyncism stifles my overall view, on this. theoretically democracy is the lesser of the evils, but due to the inevitable corruption in politics, I believe it merely masks the fact that money usually calls the shots. maybe I am too cynical. I have faith in humanity but not politics. think I am 2 weeks too late with this reply, but not too worry. keep up the good work.

  • @DLandonCole Bicameralism seems the only way to get anywhere near that balance, with one proportional house and one district based. But there is a whole slew of problems that it brings. But many of those are mitigated with a federal system where decisions are made at the lowest level possible. But that leads to problems of competition between members....Gah! this is hard!!!

  • I don't get why there would be more hung parliament. Isn't somebody assured of majority under A.V.?

  • Get off your asses and vote AV, if you want to avoid disaster like we had in Canada 3 days ago.

  • I am voting yes to it.

  • I just realized that I voted no on the AV tactically (to stop Lib Dem getting more seats), and now I feel a little bit silly after watching this.

  • Realistically, if both Labour and Conservatives are telling people to vote no... then it's basically a waste of time and a forgone conclusion, there's no chance the majority will vote yes even though I think they should.

  • Oh, and the whole "Australia needed compulsory voting because of AV" is blatantly wrong. Compulsory voting in Australia was introduced in 1911. Instant Runoff Voting (AV in this sense) was introduced in 1918.
