Baglis Osmann Elash, a researcher for the Sudanese ministry of the Environment explains the links between climate change and the current conflict on Soudan.
She says: 'The declining productivity of the land induced some people to expand horizontally. And by expanding their agricultural land, they block the nomadic routes that are natural routes used by the pasturalists.'
