  • anaphalaxis is what youre trying to prevent. you mean adrenaline?

  • uh they designed the epipen to save people. it actualy has anaphalaxis. My sister has deadly allergies to bestings, nuts, shellfish and lots of other things.. any way yea she has reactions quite frequently and why would they design medicen to make people more sick then they are? it just doesnt click buddy...

  • nice vid but pen shd prob be a bit higher more in your upper quadrant :-)

  • This is wrong. Antihistamines DO help. I'm a peanut allergy sufferer and antihistamines are certainly my first response. they have helped me on numerous occasions, especially if you have other less severe allergies and don't want to have to administer the epipen at the first sign of a reaction. If you know it's serious you should use both. When I was hospitalized for a reaction I was immediately put on a benedryll solution drip. If you suffer from reactions don't be afraid of using it.

  • Wrong. Very wrong. The antihistamines in Benedryll help to relieve congestion and other symptoms associated with the affects of an anaphylatic emergency. Also, take a look on some of the medical books (PDR, perhaps...) and you will see "Anaphylactic ... reactions" on the list of indications for use...

Antihistamines DO help "on the inside."

In addition to an EpiPen, Benedryll can be extremely beneficial to those who suffer from an anaphylatic reaction.

  • I USED IT!!!

  • i suffer from these quite regualy and noticed that the more upright the pen is the better it works. so putting the thigh so its resting on the ground helps.

  • Thanks for the informative video. I just started emt school, and this helped me visualize the use of the epi pen. You rock !!

  • i have used epipens for the past 5 years or more, its prob the best thing my doc has given to me, keeps you knowing your not s.o.l when and if something happens, nice vid.
