Captured at Wakefield Park, Goulburn in late 2009. Modified Nissan RPS13 180sx passes R32 GTR, R33 GTR, RX8, Corolla and Mazda 808 with 13B turbo and catches WRX STi.

Car has GT3071R, Poncams, Haltech Platinum ECU, Tein coilovers, R32 brakes, Greddy Sump, HKS EVC, Sard Fuel Pressure Regulator, EBC Redstuff pads, Tomei Rocker Arm Stoppers, Nismo 740cc injectors, Greddy BOV, Sparco Pro 2000 drivers seat.

Car made 242rwkw on 17psi but is only running 12psi in this video. Owner of R33 GTR in video claims to have 300kw at the wheels.

Best time recorded with this car is 1:11.02 on street tyres and 12psi, this track is not ideal for the 3071R as you will see I often lose ground exiting corners due to the lag. Will be fitting semi slicks and expect to lap around 1:08-1:09 on 15psi.

  • hey mate nice setup, its virtually identicle to my car, it sounds like your diff might be worn out and isn't locking up, therefore only spins one wheel when its warm. check it out it might be costing you some time

  • @motorsportman1 funny that you say that.. I did a skid pad day on Saturday.. in the wet.. you will see in other videos.. I had a bit of trouble getting it to hook up both wheels... it would always do it when you really jam it on in third gear but it would take a while in 1st gear before it hits both wheels...

  • great driving, quick car.

I doubt that R33 had 300KW at the wheels, if it did it wouldve pulled alot harder on the straights and out of the corners... maybe it was a happy dyno he was on?

How much was it to drive on the track? How many hours/laps do you get to do?

  • @HEKTIC458

Thanks mate.. yeah I doubt the 300kw figure too, that is what he claimed but unlikely... my car makes 250rwkw on 18psi but was only running 12psi on the track, so I would estimate around 210rwkw.

It is $110 to drive on the track... You can drive all day... as hard and as long as you like... I usually only leave because the car has no brakes left.. going to head back soon.. might try it on 15psi.. I found with more boost I wasn't any quicker last time though...

  • @s13180sxSR20DET y is it not any quicker with more boost? cos of turbo lag? or what :s sorry am kinda young and just learin :)

  • @1jam1mtb1 Wakefield is a pretty tight circuit, with more boost it just creates wheel spin when exiting corners meaning you have to accelerate later (more or less when you are pointing straight). With more boost the car is much more aggressive... at a longer track, more boost might help a bit... but to be honest there are guys making 60% of the power of my car that are quicker than me at Wakefield.. you don't need much power to go quick there.
