The album version is good but this is better.

Wow! This is my first time hearing this. It's amazing.

@kpenn0910 Yeah, the drums are kicking ass in this one.
-
Is it just me, or does this version sound like The Cure in the early 80s?

Gina really pushes this.

umm... ok... no

The transition from the chorus to the second verse is sick! I'm not sure which version I love more, they're both incredible.

@bobo007xx Actually, it was most definitely punk rock. The Go-Go's were a punk band initially. They lived at the infamous Canterbury and were all very much part of the inner L.A. punk circle - playing with, supporting and hanging out with X, the Germs, The Bags, The Plugz, Black Randy, the Dils, etc., at the Masque and the Whiskey. They were a pivotal part of the L.A. punk scene, as much as any of the early punk bands were. They only later traded in their punk sound for their first album.
I totally prefer this version! Wow. BatB is a classic pop/rock album that will be with me until the day I die. I have always loved the 'tear my world aparrrrrrrrt' part.. x

@bobo007xx The real punks did indeed consider the Go-Go's a punk band - as they were a punk band initially. They were actually very pivotal in the early L.A. punk scene. They were in the same muscial and social circle as all of the other early L.A. punk bands. The Go-Go's didn't go "New Wave" until their first album - they traded in their punk music for more accessible surfy, New Wave pop. Prior to that, no one would have ever claimed they WEREN'T a punk band - as they most definitely were.
