  • Love that blues mandolin, you play it so well!

Ordered your fine "Slide Tunes" book a zillion years ago...how time flies.

  • Thank you, Daddystovepipe. I appreciate the good words. "Slide Tunes" was a looooong time ago!

    Hope to cross paths sometime.

    Rich

  • Sweet music! I just got your Mandolin Blues book last week and I'm working my way through it slowly. I'm a beginner, but your book is great to learn with. Probably the best and funnest I've used for self-instruction so far. Thanks! You're an mandolin inspiration.

  • Thank you, Lipeng. I appreciate the good words!

    My best

    Rich

  • Great to see you playing live Rich, since I just can't get over to see you in the US!

    cheers

    BERT IN SWEDEN

  • Thanks Bert!

I have an opportunity to work in Austria next summer. Maybe I can swing up to your home. Can we talk about some work in Sweden? Hope we can work together.

  • Good stuff, Rich. I used your mandolin book to teach myself mandolin (I'm a professional guitarist/college music instructor). I had to learn it to play the mandolin parts in the Broadway musical, The Spitfire Grill - so when I went on a fishig trip w/ my dad to Canada in '05, I took a mandolin, your book, and a music stand and a boom box w/ he musical. I spent mornings in the cabin for a week w/ your book and the show book, learned the fingerings along w/ Turkey in the Straw, and pulled it off.

  • I had honestly never seen or heard of a mandolin before I came across your videos here on Youtube, it looks like an amazing instrument, love that bluesy tone.

  • Awesome music! My father bought me a mandolin for Christmas (a very big surprise), and I picked up your "Mandolin Method Book 1" (published by Hal Leaonard). Before receiving this instrument, I had been struggling with acoustic guitar for some time. The mandolin has renewed my interest in music, of any type, and hearing this songs just encourages me to practice even further. I am a beginner, and feel the music flowing within me already. Thanks Rich. This song really helped.

  • Great stuff man -- love it!

  • Thanks for this, Rich. A friend who passed through Bangkok recently, Bert Deivert, put me onto this; it's a joy for a wannabe mandolin blues player, and I'll be studying it endlessly and shamelessly copying your licks. Ron McMillan

  • With the economy going down the drain and people losing their jobs left and right, there has to be a better way. I mean who doesn't become filthy rich these days?

The content in this video is incredible! These are the same techniques I use to generate a recession proof income. Keep up the great work, and I can't wait to watch your future videos.

  • Are you David DelGrosso's brother? If so, will you tell him to get in touch with Jennifer Laurendeau (jwench70)...please. Thanks!!!! -Jen

  • this is awesome
