  • ...Well, fittingly it was a smaller crowd, we played a ton of blues and jazz that night, and it was designed to be more of a showcase of alumni musicians and musicianship than a full out show... not sure where the cynicism is coming from...?

  • Music is meant to be for the people?

Playing music should be for yourself and if other people like it that's great, if not that's ok too because you do it for yourself and you like doing it.

  • Ive never played with Santa!

  • that wasnt so great it was just part of victor wooten's "me and my bass guitar riff" played very badly and a slight bit of improv that was outta time.

  • half of that is victors stuff

  • Agreed temorplayer09.

Also, the bassist is awesome! Although it would have been more impressive if the solo was an original as opposed to consisting mostly of parts from other songs. But props for doing some Wooten!

    Also...Ibanez FTW!

  • Amen!! Totally "me and my bass guitar!!"

  • Thing is, music is meant to be for the people, and this is only for the person playing it. He could do that at home and it would have the same effect on the world. I know rock stars and the like are meant to be on another planet, but this is too far out for the public to be impressed by. Give me Bill Wyman anyday.

  • haha, the "funk bullshit" is a victor wooten piece =P

    peace

  • dats my guitar teacher

  • Ahhh i think he ruined it, Like in the beginning, after that he totally could have gone to some deep neo-classical prog style stuff in a harmonic minor or something and it would have sounded bad ass. Instead he just went to some funk bullshit.

He's good, But i didn't like his stuff. I think he could do waaay better then this. He's good though and i liked the pink floyd at the end.
