  • The first time I ever set foot in an aircraft was in an ATR-42. That was when Air Pacific flew them on domestic routes in the 80s.

I imagine Pacific Sun is now a new subsidiary of AP?

  • Yes they are. They fly the route from Fiji to Tuvalu as a codeshare agreement.

  • Thats not Air Pacific, thats Pacific Sun

  • True, but Pacific Sun is part of Air Pacific, their flights to Tuvalu are codeshares.

  • @22871987 yea

  • @Ivkkarate lol Pacific Sun is owned by the Fiji Govt too it is with Air Pacific lol..

  • pacific sun is also air pacific's.....theyre both fiji owned

  • The sound in the background is the alarm to warn people not to cross the runway. Several streets run through the runway and it also doubles as a sports field as it's a small island.

  • Taiririko What's an ATR42? I wonder if I flew in one back in 1973?

I have posted some photos that I took in 1973 of Tuvalu, Kiribati, Nauru and Fiji. They can be found on Web shots and by doing a search on "coopec100"

You may be in the photos!!

  • cute
