Because of a unique 1:1 camper/counselor ratio, Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp is able to provide a complete outdoor program for persons with more challenging levels of disability who may not be currently served by other camps. It serves persons with various abilities (cognitive, physical, emotional, autism) who range in age from nine to adulthood. The summer consists of eight one-week sessions, operating from mid-June to mid-August, filled with adventure course activities, horseback riding, canoeing, fishing, swimming, arts & crafts, hiking, music, dancing, campfires, skits, and much more.
My daughter Beth Lang went to Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp 10 years plus, she loved it so much. She started when she was 10 years old. It was great for her and great for my wife and I too! What a joy it was to see her have a camp experience. She would mark it on the calendar year after year. All the counselors are heaven sent, so loving. God Bless You! Thank You So Much!
P.S. She is 24 years old now has her own youtube channel missbethlang

I miss camp it means so much to me and seeing LeAnn and Sara Romes on this video makes me just cry. Sara is a really good Counselor and signer for American Sign language I know some also. LeAnn was a comfort to me the last day of my camp session this year in 2010 and I hope I will be accepted back in 2011. You all made my year success full and I am happy that a lot your like a third home to me now!
