I spell Mariinsky exactly the way you do and often. You have the same typing problem that i do. Check the spelling of your title. Alina has improved unbelievable recently into an amazing actress and dancer. I am not writing based on this old video, but what my eyes have seen in the last 2 months. Her Bayadere and Juliet from an acting standpoint were almost flawless, alhough she has room to improve the Juliet death scene at the end, but everywhere else has practically no room for improvement.

this is from the diamond section of jewels. and yes, i feel like mr. B's choreography just works effortlessly with somova's natural style. she also just seems to enjoy this type of work more so than the usual story ballets. there was a video on here a while back of her doing Mr. B's tckvsy pdd which also blew my mind.

I'm so happy to see Somova really coming into her own here. Maybe it's Mr. B's choreography that suits her, but she seems to be so much more aware of all her movements, strong in the center and her port de bras coming from her back. It's really beautiful.
