Mercedes 4.5 V8 startup

starting a 1972 Mercedes-Benz 280SE 4.5 with a cracked manifold, then with it replaced. The camera's microphone doesn't pick up the loudness as well as it should the first time around, but note the less raspy sound.

Put 1:100 two stroke oil in your fueltank because modern eco fuel is too aggressive to the old fuel injecion system, your pump might corrode.

@Pnoerre - Don't know where you heard that, but that'd cause way more damage. I wouldn't recommend it for a K-Jet either. Are you thinking this is a diesel?

@axia24 This is a common thing to do on cars this old, and it doesn't cause damage. However, personally, I wouldn't use as much as Phoerre suggests. I only used about 1/2 liter on a 100 liter tank on mine. It lubricates the fuel system a bit. Besides, old engines don't burn as much of the fuel as modern engines do. The petrol partially acts as a lubricant as well. Relatively dry, modern petrol doesn't have the same lubrication properties as the petrol these engines were designed for.
