Who cares who's blood was lost?

They were ALL Americans regardless of their branch. They were all tossed into pure hell and to me, they are all heroes. I am alive and free because all of them risked their lives for me.

They were the best ever. No generation comes close. Certainly not mine.

God bless Poland! I think it great that a reenactment group chooses to remember the sacrifices of our WWII Marines! Poland suffered greatly during the war and in your group I see courage honoring courage! Semper Fidelis!

@capnhands i just know that i respect all people who go through that, none more then the other. since you served, im sure youd be pissed as fuck if you went though that, and someone was saying that another person who was in equal danger as you, with a slightly different job, was more of a hero, and more brave and respected. i know that id be pissed. you might not be, and thats your call, but it agitates the shit out of me when i hear that stuff.  its like the whole army vs marines thing...

@HopeDiedScreaming it matters. not just WWII, medics in all wars are the true hero's. Imagine being on a battlefield with your guts hanging out, bullet flying everywhere. Medics have to concentrate saving lives while dodging bullets. Good for you on the Marines and yeah talk all the shit you want when you serve a tour.
