God does things for a reason.Maybe now isn't the time for you to get married so God answered your prayer, but did you pray that it be revealed to you if the person was wrong not just the time was wrong before you officially broke off? All in all I admire you ability to share your experience.

When I heard the story of the engagement, I thought it was too fast, I've heard stories of people going through with it, but in this case maybe the reality of how fast everything happened caught up with your fiancee. In my opinion it is really normal to feel that need for some more time, thus a longer engagement. Please keep in mind he did not say he doesn't want to marry you,he needs time...you asked how do you do it you have a longer engagement , that's fiancee not a girlfriend,think it over

maybe it wasnt the right time now, you both need time to grow. you are still young God has things he wants for you and you alone. when he is finished the new work that he has started in your life, maybe he will send him back to you better, stronger, more capable to love you the way God would have him love you. And if not him God will send the right one to come for his Good Thing. You are beautiful on the inside and the outside! Take time to enjoy the new person that you are becoming. take care:)
