Yes, this is Pericoli singing, but it's much slower than the version he performed in the 1962 film Rome Adventure.

Please check with other versions of this song on You tube, this i not Modugno singing, I have confronted some expressions with Pericoli and they are identical, this is Pericoli singing.
Modugno has a slight dialect and he doesn't sing with this clear Italian sound, he has another expression which I find very interesting.
