  • Why have you only uploaded two (rejected) tracks?

  • @Ondus2000 I have uploaded the most of the rejected score now - look on my channel

  • And what's maddening is James Horner's harsh response to Yared and his music.

Speak for yourself, HORNER! You're the one who isn't that gifted and you use recycled trash. IDIOT!

  • @NavajoJoeFilms Horner sucks! Since "Braveheart" he really got lazy continuously recycling old material. He called Yared's score "atrocious" and also said "And it wasn't because Gabriel's not a gifted writer, it's because he just doesn't have any knowledge of writing film scores. Real film scores like that. And it was like -- It was so corny. It was unbelievable." What an arrogant loser. His best work was Braveheart and that's about it.

  • @BloodylocksBathory I agree as well i sadly expected more from that score of which i could hear the elements used from Apocalypto which i think is one of his best scores along w/Apollo 13.

  • Horner's Score is erratic. I get the feeling that he used Gabriel Yared's ideas & recordings for the good bits (Like the Vocal shimmers) but a lot of it is .. Well, as people say.. Recycled. Warner Bros have lost my faith, in not letting Gabriel Yared so much as modify or change his score. They have NO IDEA how much it hurts to have your Art rejected. Horner should done the honourable thing, & told Warner Bros. "You already have a Score. A DAMN good one at that."

  • @MOTHMAN225 He was a recycler well before that. lol Just listen to Battle Beyond the Stars, Star Trek II, Krull, Star Trek III, Aliens, and Willow in a row someday. Still love his work though!

  • 1:53 Gustav Holst's "Mars: The Bringer of War" has to be the most (lovingly) referenced classical piece in the history of film scoring. lol

  • @TheTruth006

Yeah, I read that Yared was trying to get out of his usual style by composing the score.

  • Not Just Horner. Director Peterson also made idiotic judgments after he panicked. Well, the studio's comments about the score was also short-sighted.

  • The guy who did The English Patient did this? Call me surprised.

  • @MichaelJacksonFan000 I agree. His score for Avatar was so disappointing.

  • @queggy1 Well put. Braveheart and Titanic are Horner's gems (though I do enjoy his work for Zorro). Since then, he is a master recycler. If he can just create 1 new tune in the films he composes, I'd be happy, but he refuses to do so. Gabriel Yared's work here makes a much more epic sound!

  • wow i didnt know that there is such an amazing second soundtrack! And its alot better than horners work! horner was absolutely fantastic in braveheart and titanic but when i listen to all that scores of yared than i think that his music should have been played in Troy! really!
